Option What it does
Query time out How many seconds TablePlus waits for the server to respond before it asks whether to reconnect. Leave it empty to use the default of 300 seconds.
Keep connection alive Pings the server every 30 seconds so idle connections aren't closed. On by default.

Query time out

TablePlus doesn't stop a slow query by itself. When the server hasn't responded within the time out, TablePlus shows The server is taking too long to respond. Click Reconnect to reconnect, or Wait to keep waiting. TablePlus checks the time out along with the keep-alive pings, so it only works while Keep connection alive is on. It doesn't apply to SQLite, DuckDB, BigQuery, LibSQL, Cloudflare D1 and Snowflake connections. Type the number of seconds in the Query time out field and press Return.

Keep connection alive

Some servers, firewalls and SSH tunnels close connections that are idle for a while. With Keep connection alive on, TablePlus pings the server every 30 seconds to keep the connection open.
